I was born in 1945 so I probably started attending the "Huttie" during 1949. I remember my mum taking me on my first day and both of us crying and hugging before I joined the line to go into the hut (classroom) that was at the top ond of the playground. I lived on the Kingsway and used to go down and up Pitkerro Road to school. There was an old Model T Ford on the other side of Pitkerro Road opposite the "Huttie" that we used to play on and after school (and sometimes before) does anyone else remember this old car?. We were all transferred to St Michaels (the Mikees) in the early fifties before returning to Mid Craigie Primary (the Rainbow) a year or so later. I think the "Huttie" teacher was Mrs Ogilvy, the Mikees teacher was Mrs Hill and the Rainbow teacher was Mr MacKenzie. .
